Socorro Fat Tire Trails

Mountain bikers will find that Socorro is a gateway to all year adventure. To the east of Socorro are the Quebradas, which host hundreds of miles of road winding through exceptional geologic terrain. Trails to the south – through the Rio Grande Floodplain and the Bosque del Apache. National Wildlife Refuge – offer intimate views of wildlife. To the west you will find the 10,000-foot-tall Magdalena and San Matea Mountain Ranges, ancient petroglyphs at San Acacia north of Socorro and the steep-walled beauty of San Lorenzo Canyon.
