Landfill does NOT accept:

  • Hazardous waste
  • Car bodies, trailers or other vehicles requiring licenses
  • Burning trash, hot barrels or ashes
  • Fuel, oils, anti-freeze or contaminate soil
  • Household hazardous waste
  • Paints, thinners or solvents
  • Refrigerators or compressors containing Freon

Fees:

Properly secured loads: There is no charge to Socorro residents for covered yard waste who have properly secured their load for hauling.
Unsecured yard waste loads: $3.00
Commercial yard waste haulers: $30.00 per ton if properly secured. An additional $10.00 fee is charged for unsecured loads.
Construction waste haulers: $35.00 per ton if properly secured. An additional $10.00 fee is charged for unsecured loads.
