Sedillo Park
City of Socorro Parks and Recreation provide leisure activities for the entire family. Sedillo Park offers athletic fields, tennis and basketball courts, horseshoe pits, playgrounds, an olympic-sized swimming pool, and outdoor grills. The covered picnic areas may be reserved for private parties by contacting City Hall, 835-0240.
From California Street, turn west onto Francisco de Avondo.

City Swimming Pool
The City swimming pool facility contains an olympic-sized pool and a children’s pool.
The pool is open from Memorial Day (late May) to mid-August.
Hours:
Mon-Fri 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Sat-Sun 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Swim Rates: Age 1-14 yrs. $1.00; 14 and over $2.00

The City pool is located at 1004 El Camino Real. From California Street turn west onto Bullock Ave., turn right at El Camino Real.
Clarke Field
Clarke Field is the newest addition to the city’s park offerings, with a jogging track, outdoor grills, covered picnic tables, and a skate park. The picnic area may be reserved for private parties by contacting City Hall, 835-0240.
Clark Field is located just east of Spring Street @ California.

Finley Complex
The City of Socorro Finley Complex offers year-round activities:
- Weight and exercise room (free)
- Walkers in gym 7 am – 12 pm (free)
- Women of Wellness yoga classes are offered on Wednesdays at 9 am (free)
- Aerobics Classes are offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30 pm – 7 pm ($10.00 fee)
- 30 and Over Basketball – Thursdays at 7 pm
Seasonal activities:
- Co-ed Volleyball League held March – May
(Registration is in February, entry fees $$) - Men’s and Women’s Softball League held May – August.
(Registration is in May, entry fees $$) - Women’s Volleyball League held September – December
(Registration is in August, entry fees $$) - Youth Basketball League held January – March
(Registration is October – December; $10.00 registration fee)
Finley Gym also hosts these popular community events:
- The Haunted House in October
- Santa Claus Visits in December
- The Community Arts Party in Febuary
The City’s Parks and Recreation Department also coordinates the Annual Easter Egg Hunt the Saturday before Easter at Sedillo Park.

Public Playgrounds
Sedillo Park contains two playgrounds, one on the east side and the other on the west side. Grill pits are also included. From California St., turn west onto Bullock Ave.

B Street Park, south on California Street, turn west onto B Street. The playground is behind the 7-11 Convenience Store.
Western Hills Park, from Neel Avenue, turn south onto Western Avenue, then left onto Garden.
West Place, from Neel Avenue, turn south onto West before the dip in the road.
Lena Jaramillo Park, south on California Street, turn west onto Spring Street, continue until you reach the four-way stop signs, then turn left onto U.S. 60, turn right onto Granada Street.
