Socorro County Fair & Rodeo

September 2-5, 2010

       

An annual event held Labor Day weekend with a Professional rodeo, rodeo dance, exhibits, games, Kiss a Pig contest, quilting, canning and a livestock auction. For more information and tickets, call (575) 835-0610.

Green Chili

Socorro Farmers Market, Historic Plaza

Through October

Buy fresh, locally-grown produce direct from the farmer. Our local market features occasional entertainment. Tuesday evenings from 5 pm - 7 pm and Saturday mornings beginning at 8 am on the Historic Plaza.  For more information call (575) 835-8927.

Bosque De Apache

 

Each season, the Bosque del Apache offers unique bird and wildlife viewing opportunities.

Escondida Lake

This lake park offers fishing and camping, RV hookups, tent sites, bathrooms and potable water. Full hook-up site (sewer, water, electricity) $18, non hook-up site $10, tent camping $6, group picnic shelter fee $25; reservations required.
