City of Socorro Public Transportation is committed to provide safe, reliable and cost effective transportation to local and community low-income and/or poverty level, enabling residents and encouraging them to improve their daily standard of living  We offer services for citizens to get to health care appointments, shopping, education, employment, public services and recreation services within the city limit.

Rides must be scheduled during our office hours. Reservations should be made by close of business.   Same day services are allowed only on a time available basis. Please be courteous to the dispatcher when scheduling your rides.  Profanity is not allowed at any time.   Services could be temporarily suspended if this occurs.

CITY LIMITS:
Socorro Transportation operate a curb to curb service, or based on request and passenger need, door to door demand service as long as it is safe to do so. Our policy does not allow drivers to cross threshold of the door. Please be ready by the curb for your ride.  Driver will wait only 5 minutes after your scheduled ride.Children under age 6 ride free In City Limits.  Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.   If your child is under the age, and is riding without an adult, a release form must be filled out and signed by their guardian. This form may be picked up in the office. Socorro Transit has a (3) three no show policy.If you accumulate more than (3) three no shows within one month period, riding privileges could be temporarily suspended.   Continue no shows could lead to a permanent suspension of riding privileges.

MAGDALENA ROUTE:
The Magdalena and Alamo Route were combined into one route and will continue this way until further notice. Pick up for this route is at Conoco Station in Magdalena, Monday through Friday at 7:00 am. Return trip at 5:00 pm. You may park your vehicles in empty lot at back of Conoco Station. Leave vehicles at your own risk. Neither the City of Socorro nor Conoco Station will be responsible for your vehicle or its contents. You must make arrangements to ride by calling our office.

DIALYSIS CLINIC: 
This service is provided 3 times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays to the Central New Mexico Dialysis Clinic in Los Lunas, New Mexico.  Departure is at 9:30 from the Sedillo Park Transportation bus shelter, located off of Bullock Blvd. Return trip is between the hours of 3:30 and 4:00 pm. Ridership for this service is coordinated with the clinic in Los Lunas and all riders must fill out an application to use this service.  Please call our office for more information.
